Mr Armitage said: “I am really excited about coming on board. The National Pension Trust is a uniquely compelling offering and has just welcomed its 68th participating employer.

“This is testament to the fact that the Trust addresses real client issues and because it is unique amongst fully flexible master trusts in having a proven track record.”

Ben Bramhall, deputy managing director, Xafinity, said: “Paul has a particularly strong track record in helping clients with their DC pension schemes.

His experience will help us to continue to best support our clients in making the most of freedom and choice. I am delighted to welcome him to Xafinity.”
