Sipps specialist Claire Trott exits Talbot and Muir
Sipps Professional understands that she is moving to Technical Connection in London and will start in November.
Ms Trott leaves her role as Talbot and Muir's director, head of pensions technical, after joining the firm in December 2013 as head of technical support, following a spell of nearly 3 years at Suffolk Life.
Talbot and Muir said she had made a “decision to return to her roots and take up a role at a specialist technical firm”.
Her new firm is yet to be named and updates will appear here later.
Talbot and Muir announced that Paul Darvill, director of administration, will absorb the role of head of pensions technical with immediate effect.
He has been involved in the running of the technical team for the last 15 years but will take over full responsibility, in addition to heading the administration units.
Graham Muir, director, Talbot and Muir, said: “Paul will take over the running of the technical team with immediate effect and of course we wish Claire well in her new role.”
He said: “Paul Darvill joined Talbot and Muir 21 years ago and has worked through the business during that time, gaining considerable knowledge and technical expertise in the SSAS and Sipp sectors.
“His role, which includes overseeing SSAS and Sipp administration, will now also include the technical team. He is well known to the advisers and professional services firms that we deal with day to day.”
Paul has been involved in the financial services industry for all of his working life. After spending nine years gaining experience with life assurance companies, he joined Talbot and Muir in 1995 as a SSAS administrator. Paul now heads up the firm’s entire administration and technical functions.
