Mattioli Woods boosts presence in Scotland
Mr Wilson joins Mattioli Woods with nearly 15 years' financial services experience. He previously worked for Wesleyan Medical Sickness as a financial consultant, specialising in retirement planning for the medical profession along with estate planning and family protection. Prior to Wesleyan, Mr Wilson worked for Standard Life for a number of years as a consultant in the individual space and corporate pensions arena.
Mr Wilson will be based at the Glasgow offices of Mattioli Woods' subsidiary and Scottish wealth management and employee benefits business, Kudos.
Jim Tennent, director at Kudos, said: "We are delighted to welcome Stephen to the group. This is a natural extension of our existing wealth management services and the addition of a dedicated consultant to the Scottish team will provide local clients with meaningful, strategic guidance on all aspects of their pension scheme".
Mr Wilson's appointment follows the recent high-profile acquisition of Ashcourt Rowan's pension business as well as the appointment to operate the HD SIPP.

Mr Wilson said: "I am delighted to join Mattioli Woods and excited about developing our pension proposition in Scotland. I have built up extensive knowledge over the years with a focus on planning around NHS benefits, lifetime allowance, Sipps and income drawdown".
"Although I will be based in Glasgow, I will also be covering Edinburgh and Aberdeen as part of my remit".
Mattioli Woods' group has over 6,000 clients and has total assets under administration and advice up to £4bn.
