'Drawdown via Sipps and SSAS will increase due to Budget reforms'
Julia Bassett, head of Sipp at Barnett Waddingham, believes drawdown will become a more potent tool following the pension reforms announced by the Chancellor George Osborne.
Barnett Waddingham will hold a series of seminars, starting in the next fortnight, aimed at Financial Planners which will look at drawdown and the changes to pensions.
The technical events, which are free and CPD-accredited, will provide an update for advisers on the current Sipp, SSAS and investment issues affecting their clients.
Ms Bassett said: "The Budget means that drawdown will now become a far more powerful tool. We anticipate that demand for it via Sipps and SSASs will grow considerably.
"The implications in terms of the need for and value of advice are huge.
