Greg Kingston, head of marketing at Suffolk Life, said: "Demand for discretionary investment services for pension funds has been strong throughout 2014 and the first three months of this year. Adding additional discretionary managers to SimSIPP, which itself has enhanced drawdown capabilities ready for pension freedom after 6 April, is a natural step forward."
SimSIPP offers advisers flexibility and visibility on funds held with discretionary managers. All assets are tracked on Suffolk Life's systems and, in preparation for 6 April, SimSIPP offers the ability to automatically divest and recall funds from the discretionary manager in order to pay out scheduled pension income.
• Suffolk Life says that capped drawdown is still available in SimSIPP where applicable, alongside flexi-access drawdown and UFPLS.
