Sipp provider kick starts footballing fun for financial firms
Talbot and Muir has brought together various businesses for the launch of an annual 5 a side tournament – with money going to Barnardo’s.
Teams include Wren Sterling, PKF Cooper Parry, Brewin Dolphin and Paragon Law as well as Talbot and Muir.
The fundraising footballers are only one way the firm is helping Barnardo’s, with director Claire Trott set to take on a charity run/walk from London to Brighton among further activities planned for 2016.
Graham Muir, director at Talbot and Muir, said: “We are supporting Claire wholeheartedly in this endeavour because it is clearly a big challenge to take on. She will need all the encouragement she can get so we have already pledged £500 to get her fund raising off to a good start.”

He said: “We are proud to have supported the work of Barnardo’s for many years now - a couple of years ago I ran the London Marathon on their behalf. The football tournament gives the chance for the whole company to get involved in the fund raising efforts including rival teams from our own Sipp and SSAS departments.”
Talbot and Muir is sponsoring the tournament and providing a trophy for the winners.
It will take place at a local sports centre near the office in Nottingham but may need to move to a bigger venue next year because of the interest it has attracted.
Mr Muir said: “Our support of Barnardo’s is not just this single event, we hold raffles and other smaller events throughout the year.”
Although the football tournament is already fully booked for this year anyone wanting to enter a team for the next event can drop a line to Helen Carr at Talbot and Muir on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
