Ed Carey appointed as managing director of City Trustees

Ed Carey has been appointed as new managing director of City Trustees, the Sipp and SSAS arm of Mattioli Woods. Mr Carey has almost 20 years experience in the financial services sector including 12 years at Cofunds as director of regional accounts. He previously worked for Legg Mason and Invesco Fund Managers.He will be involved in the rebranding of the business to become a more platform-based service for IFA connections. This is likely to take place in 2014.His appointment follows the firm's recent acquisition of Ashcourt Rowan pension book and appointment to run the HD Sipp.{desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile}Murray Smith, sales and marketing director at City Trustees, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ed to the Group.
