Pensions Dashboards Week to be held in September

An industry-wide awareness week on pensions dashboards will return in September and will feature a range of online events designed to encourage knowledge sharing, insight, and best practice as companies prepare for the dashboards connections starting in eight months. Led by Platform engine and fintech Bravura Solutions, it will take place virtually between 23-27 September. The series of free-to-attend webinars, Q&As, and panel discussions will cover a wide variety of topics, including international lessons of pensions dashboards, data & AI, and future pension reform; all with a consumer-centric tilt, according to the organisers. Online delegates will hear from a range of speakers, including Chris Curry, principal, PDP; Gareth Tancred, chief executive, PMI; Rosie Lacey, vice president, PMI; Kim Gubler, chair, PASA; and Louise Davey, interim director of regulatory analysis and advice, The Pensions Regulator. Jonathan Hawkins, propositions lead EMEA, Bravura, said: “Pensions dashboards are the first step towards modernising the UK’s pensions sector and will truly change the long-held relationships between schemes, providers, their members and their savings, so it’s vital the industry comes together to deliver this effectively.” He said this year’s initiative moves the debate from connection to better understanding the change and opportunity dashboards will create for the whole industry. In March the Department for Work and Pensions published an updated timetable for occupational pension schemes and personal and stakeholder providers to be connected to the Pensions Dashboard. Connections are due to start in April 2025, giving the first schemes to connect more than a year to ensure they're ready ahead of the October 2026 deadline. All 3,000 schemes will be legally required to be connected to the dashboard system by 31 October 2026 at the latest.
