SSAS administration and integrated professional services provider WBR Group has made two key promotions to strengthen its technical and proposition capabilities, it said.


It has promoted Caitlin Southall to director of SSAS transformation and proposition.
Mark Plewes has stepped into the role of head of pensions technical.
Ms Southall joined WBR Group in 2024 as head of SSAS proposition and will now lead the evolution of WBR Group’s SSAS offering. Her expanded remit recognises her pivotal role in shaping WBR Group’s proposition strategy and driving client centric product developments, the firm said.
Mr Plewes was previously a key member of WBR Group’s technical team, has more than a decade of experience in pensions legislation. Before joining WBR, he spent more than 11 years at Rowanmoor in the pensions team.
WBR has also launched a new Trustee Guide designed to help SSAS trustees better understand and fulfil their roles, responsibilities and duties.
The guide and will serve as a tool for both new and experienced trustees navigating the complexities of SSAS governance.
