The FCA has issued a warning notice to a pension adviser it has branded “reckless” after they gave unsuitable advice to customers to transfer out of their DB scheme over a four year period.

The number of annual pension transfers has risen 64% since 2018, according to a new report.

I last wrote about Mrs Staveley in my blog of June 2019, and the name will be familiar to many. Mrs Staveley passed away back in December 2006 having transferred her pension just a few weeks earlier while in full knowledge of her terminal illness.
